About Minakshi Balakrishna

Minakshi Balakrishna, is an erudite educator with over four decades of experience in designing and implementing specialized learning programs for various reputed educational institutions. She is passionate about blending contemporary educational research to propel pedagogic innovation and impact learning. As a Principal Advisor - Vidyaniketan Early Years, she is keen to create a strong learning culture that is based on insights drawn from relevant educational research. She is a strong advocate of curating meaningful and exciting learning opportunities for children that are grounded in the context and the culture of our great nation.

A Post Graduate in Economics from Stella Maris, Madras University; 30 plus years of teaching, training, and administrative experience; largely in international schools in India and abroad; concluded her tenure as an Executive Director. She has implemented the IB Primary Years Programme. She conducts several workshops to school teachers to orient them to national and international curriculums, methodology, and pedagogy. She was the IB PYP chair of GUJNET an important body between the IBO office and local schools.

As an avid reader, her quest for learning and knowledge never stopped, from platforms like Harvard Graduate School of Education to insight into the future of teaching and learning, to Hindustani classical music, to being an educational consultant her journey of learning continues in her pursuit of a Ph.D. in Education and Management.
